Sound Lab can occur in any space within a cultural organization that can allow for sound and is safe for children (e.g. lobby, small theater, rehearsal room). Through “sound stations”, children can explore how small instruments, found objects, and their own bodies can make noise and music. This culiminates in micro-compositions that can be emailed to families after the event, creating a short sonic memoir of their time at your organization. The Sound Lab can be geared to align with arts programming in your community - at museums, public art forums, schools, and parks.
